Would you like to play cheeses with me?

I was sewing a sentence on the duvet with a needle and wool thread. Do you want to play cheese with me? This sentence comes from a slip of the tongue I made when I was speaking English. I've recently been learning how to play chess from an Englishman. Then  I wanted him to play chess with me, but I said cheese. It was a little awkward. You know, when you say something wrong in your second language, you might feel a little embarrassed.

But if you think about it, this embarrassment is an interesting emotion, because it's neither a negative emotion nor a positive emotion. Usually we think of embarrassment as a bad emotion, but it's actually a defensive mental activity. It can protect us from the more terrifying emotions, such as shame and self-doubt even trauma

Mel and Kate gave us a theme, Prick and Stitch, and this piece was created under that theme.

For me, the embarrassment has something to do with prick the and stitch.because they are between the damage and repair. when you speaking out your embarrassment, you might be hurt again, to some extent, you repeated and suffering again. But at the same time, the mood also in cure you, and protect you from more terrible condition.

This time, I want to try to get close to my embarrassment and see what happens, hopefully I can forgive myself for making mistakes when I speak English.

This is an inconclusive experiment
